Abstract :
Developing robot technology more quickly into various fields, along with the development of a more advanced technology, the industry also demanded an increase in the production process. One of which must be met in the process of packaging the accuracy, speed, and quantity production became a thing that must be met at each production process In meeting the needs of the packaging one alternative that is by using the technology of robots. Hence the need for increased production using the latest technology such as using robots on the production process. Using robots is expected to increase the quantity and quality of the production. In the research of robot arm based on the object's color sorter using the method prototype. needs analysis on this prototype method serves to organise what needs required by a robotic arm, the design work to design the hardware and software designed to be applied on the robotic arm, assembly work to assemble the robot arm hardware and software, testing to test the robot's hardware and software kelayaan arm and the final process of the method prototype is a maintenance processthe maintenance process, serving to keep the physical robots and robotic arm software. The robot arm work process can sorting based on the color of the object with the color sensors as a determinant of the color of the object mounted on a robot arm. After the color of the object read by the sensors, the robot arm is doing a color process and placed on a box that has been determined based on the colors of items and for monitoring applications using visual basic.Net that serves to record the results of sorting done by the robotic arm.
