Abstract :
Along with the development of computer systems both hardware and software, human (brain ware) wants everything done becomes easier, such as opening and closing doors in hydropower water use .During computer is closing sluice done manually, in this way would still require more effort to do so. It is therefore necessary that the sluice control system can be operated easily, or at least be able to cover aspects of water shortages on the door manually. In order to create a system that controls the floodgates computerized hydropower. Design method used in hydropower system control sluice using Microsoft Visual Studio-based microcontroller with a GSM shield Arduino is a prototype model. The design of the program on the Arduino microcontroller using the C programming language applications built using Visual Basic programming language and MySQL as database. Sluice control system in hydropower use Microsoft Visual Studio-based microcontroller with a GSM shield Arduino facilitate officers in controlling the floodgates. Application automatically records the time the doors open and close the water into a mySQL database. The design of the system helps workers to operate the sluice control more effective and efficient.
