Abstract :
Concrete construction as part of a construction, is expected to carry the load planned. The compressive strength of concrete is usually issued by the laboratory concrete structure by setting the value of the composition of the mixture of materials such as cement, sand, gravel, and water as a lubricant. But the reality in the field of material composition often changes by the executive with a view to facilitate dosing composition, so the compositions are sometimes reduced or value added, particularly on coarse aggregate materials. Changes in the composition of the coarse aggregate to not change the value of other compositions is believed that the compressive strength of concrete can still maintain a strong value calculation results mix design, this happens because of the coarse aggregate as one of the fundamental building blocks of concrete which has a value of power of bear high loads due to the nature of the monolith because the size is the largest among the other concrete components. Based on that needs to be done proving the truth of understanding states that changes in the composition of coarse aggregate by adding or subtracting composition will not change the value of concrete compressive strength. Based on the results of research and testing concrete test specimens were conducted decrease the compressive strength of concrete at 24.09% with a reduction experiments composition coarse aggregate up to 2.5% of normal concrete composition, as well as a decline in the strength of concrete 11.44% with trial the addition of coarse aggregate up to 2.5% of the composition of normal concrete.
