Abstract :
In electricity working system especially in almost overall jakarta regional land use underground cable for medium voltage or commonly called the transmission underground cable (TUGC). Underground cable giving challenges
for PT. PLN ( Persero ) to increase the reliability of their distribution system .One of the challenges to be faced is the partial discharge in the transmission underground cable (TUGC) .Partial discharge is a symptom of the release of a
charge that occurs in one or several parts of a system the isolation that can affect the failure of the insulation. These symptoms need to be sought and considered because they can reduce the quality of the insulation which results in the failure of conductor causing 1 phase disturbance to the ground. To find out the condition of the cable that works within a certain period of time PT. PLN (Persero) utilizes
cable assessment using the offline method with the Oscillating Wave Test System (OWTS). From the results of the analysis it was found that the XLPE and PILC isolation SKTM cables were of poor status with discharge above 1000pC, and PDIV and PDEV above nominal voltage. After finding out that the cable is in a bad condition, PT. PLN (Persero) must follow up with maintenance by cutting in
connection or making new distribution lines..
