Abstract :
With the problem of meter reading errors made by the operator, PT. PLN research was conducted at GIS Harapan Indah (Persero) by implementing an Automatic Meter Reading system on the electronic kWh meter installed in the GI to carry out the measurement data by the kWh meter. For this reason, a study related to increasing the accuracy of meter reading with the AMR system, using the research method of conducting field surveys, collecting energy transaction data with a manual and AMR system, processing data calculating deviations and the level of accuracy of meter reading, analyzing the accuracy of results that affect the shrinkage non technical happened. AMR system readings are generally done remotely using certain software via telecommunications (PSTN, GSM, CDMA, DPLC / Radio Packet) which are centrally integrated from the control room, with the AMR system accuracy in measuring electrical energy will be more accurate. The level of accuracy in February in 2019 was 99.83% an increase of 2.03% from the previous year, for March 2019 the level of accuracy was 99.83% an increase of 3.81%, and in April 2019 has an accuracy rate of 99.91% with an increase in accuracy of 2.71%. The average increase in accuracy that occurred during this study was equal to 2.85%
