Abstract :
The availability of electric power is a basic necessity for human life today. This is a big job for the power provider in this case PT. PLN to make good power distribution. Not only provide electricity, PLN is also required to design the
distribution of electricity in a balanced manner. In fact, the distribution of electricity is often unbalanced. This research will analyze the load imbalance that happened
in PT. PLN UP3 Marunda. The method undertaken in this study begins with literature and reference searches related to load unbalance analysis. The next step will collect field data related to the topic discussed. These data are obtained
from one of Sintra distribution transformer with a 400 kVA capacity owned by PT. PLN UP3 Marunda which will do some calculations with the formula that has been determined to determine the load imbalance to neutral currents and losses on the transformer. This calculation will serve as the basis for the analysis of the effect of load imbalance on neutral currents and losses on the transformer. Based on
calculations that have been done, the percentage of load imbalance is 5,3% during the day and 8% at night. Also copper losses were also obtained at 8349,29
watts during the daytime and 10238,21 at night and total losses on the transformers were obtained 8944,29 watts during the day and 10833,21 watts at night.
