Abstract :
Current transformers is an equipment used for installation of measuring instruments and protection instruments or safety devices in high, medium and low voltage installations. Current transformers that have saturation value up to 120% of the rated current depends on its class, are needed for low voltage installations. In the electric power system the measurement of electrical energy has a very important role in determining the income of the electricity company. Energy data errors are a source of customer complaints against the electricity company. Accuracy of reading or taking data from measurement results is usually concerned with human error. To avoid or reduce these errors the selection of the correct current transformer is needed as it observes how much accuracy the current transformer in the measurement. If the selection is not suitable, it will allow an error in the current transformer. In this final project, low voltage customers with installed power of 131 kVA with a CT ratio of 200/5 ampere error in phase R of 0,92%, error in phase S of -1,71%, error in phase T of -0,6%.
