Abstract :
PT. PLN (Persero) did an effort to localize a fault by using protection to enhance reliable system in electricity distribution, even when there is a interphase short
circuit faults or one-phase to the ground faults. The protection system discussed in this final project is a protection system on the incoming, outgoing & CBO by using
a ground fault relay (GFR) especially on the Jialing Feeder. To get the setting of relay the short circuit current must be calculated, and the result is the closer distance from the source, the short circuit current will be greater, it?s 896.57 A with a distance of 1% from the source and vice versa the farther the distance percentage from the source, the short circuit current will be smaller , it?s 751.221 A with a distance of 100%. As for the coordination of the feeder and CBO, the result of time setting on incoming is 0,7s with TMS 0.2 while on outgoing is 0,49s with TMS 0.178, and on CBO 0,28s with TMS of 0.11, based on the result, it proven the relay on CBO is faster than the feeder.
