Abstract :
The role of distribution networks is very important to distribute electricity from power plants to consumers through transmission networks and distribution networks. A reliable network is needed so the distribution can continue to operate properly without disturbed. Especially during this current elections, electricity distribution in vital places such as KPU office must have special attention. Elections can be disrupted if there is a blackout during the activity. Therefore, to reduce the risk of outages, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is used to keep the load maintained, the electricity supply is not even blink at all. Ups are connected from two supplies or from two distribution substations. Main supply
from K70D Substation and backup supply from K278P Substation. The voltage drop value affects the reliability and quality of the low voltage network. The percentage of voltage drop from the main supply to the load are: the R phase is 1,2%, the S phase is 1,2% and the T phase is 0,8% while the voltage drop value of the backup supply is 4,4% when the load is full, and 2,2% during normal peak
load during the day.
