Abstract :
Electricity voltage drop is a crucial issue for PT PLN (Persero). A rolling blackout is then carried out to prevent the system from experiencing a total blackout. This causes the electric power supplied to the consumer to be smaller. Voltage loss will always be there, because the equipment used does not have a 100% efficiency level. Therefore, the researcher will examine the voltage drop that occurs by providing a comparison of manual calculations and calculations using ETAP 12.6 simulation as a reference for the correctness of the calculations performed. In calculating the voltage drop on the medium voltage network at Ampul Feeders. In this voltage drop study can be calculated the value of the voltage drop before using the capacitance effect and after using the capacitance effect with different results, where the value of the voltage drop using the capacitance effect is smaller compared to the voltage drop value without using the capacitance effect. Where the voltage drop on the calculation results manually and using Etap 12.6 still meet the voltage drop standard at the permitted medium voltage according to SPLN 72: 1987 data which is 2% with a Spindle type network.
