Abstract :
Electric power is one of the basic needs at this time. Therefore electricity must be economically available with due regard its quality both voltage and current and frequency and their reliability. The reliability of an electrical distribution system is inseparable from the protective equipment used that serves to protect the equipment from interference. One disturbance that occurs is a short circuit interference. Short-circuit interruptions can cause flicker stresses that can affect the performance of electronic equipment that is sensitive to changes in voltage variations and ultimately become a source of problems in the operational continuity of the electronic equipment. One effort to anticipate the disturbance requires a protection system that meets the requirements of sensitivity, reliability, selectivity, and speed, which all depend on the speed of the protection equipment settings. Protection equipment commonly used in the distribution of electric power, one of which is OCR (Over Current Relay) is an overcurrent relay that can order a power breaker in accordance with the current setting time, so that the SUTM / SKTM experiencing interference can be separated from the network. The results of this study can localize the smallest possible disturbance that occurs at a certain point the length of the feeder with the setting of the incoming relay time at the substation relay time setting is 0.7 seconds and for the feeder Avanza Sentul substation the time setting is 0.3 seconds.
