Abstract :
One of the protection devices used in the Medium Voltage Cable Channel feeder is the cubicle Circuit Breaker Outgoing (CBO). CBO cubicles are cubicles equipped with CT, PT, Relay and Trip Coil. In the Lace feeder the CBO cubicle has been installed, but in this feeder there have been several interruptions at the end of the network, while the installed CBO is located at a network length of 30% of the network length, namely at the CP3 substation. This causes widespread blackouts, so that additional CBO will be made in the network length of 50%, namely at BT302 substations. With the addition of a CBO, it can affect the number of substations to die off and relay working time. Where the closer the point of interference to the relay, the faster the relay's working time. Assuming the calculation of 1 phase short circuit fault and 3 phases in the network length of 90%, the OCR and GFR work time before the addition of CBO is OCR 0.236 seconds and GFR 0.321 seconds. Whereas after addition, the working time is OCR 0.115 seconds and GFR 0.243 seconds. This proves the relay's working time after the addition of CBO cubicles is faster than before the addition and the number of substations at be smaller because the PMT that works first is the PMT on CBO BT302.
