Abstract :
Transformer is electrical equipment that convert voltage from high voltage to low voltage or otherwise. As a equipment that works on the high and low voltage side, the transformer often experiences both internal and external fault. Internal fault in the transformer can potentially cause severe damage as happened in the transformer at the Sepatan Substation. An indication of internal fault is certainly a serious problem that requires further investigation to justify whether the transformer is feasible to be operated again or not. So that an assessment needs to be carried out in the form of test results after the fault happen. By conducting assessment we can more easily determine the transformer health index and decide whether the transformer is still can operate or otherwise not feasible and must be replaced. The object under study in this final project is power transformer 1 at the Sepatan Substation after fault which resulted in several mechanical and electrical relays working. Because of the disorder, an assessment was carried out to determine its health condition. The assessment is carried out by evaluating the test results of the subsystems of power transformers based on FMEA. After the assessment was made, the health condition of the power transformer was in poor condition with score 1 (bad). This is due to the dielectric subsystem condition in the DGA test and the indicated oil characteristics are poor so treatment needs to be done in the form of reclamation. After reclamation, the condition score in the dielectric subsystem is 6 (moderate). So that the transformer can operate again.
