Abstract :
In this modern era, consumption of electrical energy is increasing. Every place, such as offices, schools, factories, homes, and tourist attractions use electrical energy. Using of large inductive loads may result in increased reactive power consumption. Reactivation power is increased to power factor from low customer and occur losses. The power factor (cos ?) is compare of active power and real power. In this case, tools are allowed to compensate for the reactive power, so that the factors do not exist from the standards specified by the power grid service provider. For reduction reactive power is repairing of power factor. For issues to repairing the power factor is using a capacitor bank. For determining capacitors that are compatible with the use of customer load. To be able to implement it, it is necessary to calculate the capacity to be used to achieve the power factors determined by the standard PLN. From the calculation to fix cos phi industrial customers from 0.7 to 0.99, it is necessary to have capasitor bank with 1 capacitor each capacity is 1 kVAR and 12 capacitors with each capasity are 5 kVAR. With 13 capacitors different capacities, it can supply necessary of a large reactive power. After repairing the power factor, losses occur reduction from 157.4 Watt to 94.6 Watt. After doing these calculations, it can be seen the value of capacitors that will be used to increase electrical energy and increase power factor customer
