Abstract :
Blackout is a disadvantage both for the customer and PT PLN (Persero) itself. Motorized LBS (Load Break Switch) is one of switch that has the ability to open / close locally or remotely. In PT PLN (Persero) Regulatory Area Distribution (APD) Lampung, the effect of adding motorized LBS in loop ring of BMW and Jaguar feeder can be studied for a wide outages area due to interference or the maintenance work. With the installation of a motorized LBS at the meeting point of the two feeders, BMW and Jaguar feeder originally had a radial configuration system turns into a ring loop configuration. Installation of motorized LBS can help maneuver of the system in case of a blackout, so the outage area is reduced due to receive supply of electrical energy from another feeder and improve power system reliability at feeders. The impact can be seen from the data in outage areas which controlled by PT. PLN (Persero) Regulatory Area Distribution (APD) Lampung, then can be calculated SAIDI and the sum of kWh distributed to consumers in the area of the ring loop of BMW and Jaguar feeder, so obtained a good result that is SAIDI 22,27 minute/costumer and ENS 1.893 kWh.
