Abstract :
An electric power system can not be separated from a variety of electric fault that can interfere the quality an continuity of electricity supply services. That can affect
the reliability of the power system. With the reliability index that is often used in the distribution system is the frequency of blackouts and duration / duration of interruption. Long interruption will cause many losses, both losses to the
company and the loss of electricity customers. One way to cope with long-term interruption in the 20 kV distribution system is the maintenance of replacement
work of cubicle 20 kV with minimal outages method. This minimal outages method used by medium voltage customers at at PT. PLN (Persero) Area Menteng which majority of customers who installed power of more than 197 kVA with the aims to minimize duration of blackout when maintenance on process. At cubicle 20 kV replacement with no minimal outages method, with the percentage of P56 powerhouse is 48.16%, D167 powerhouse is 44.5%, and D157
powerhouse is 45.5% higher than in replacement of cubicle 20 kV minimal outages method a percentage at P56 powerhouse is 11.83%, D167 powerhouse is 13%, and D157 powerhouse is 13.30%. For energy losses of cubicle 20kV
replacement with the no minimal outages method at P56 powerhouse is 3.218,951 kWh, at D167 powerhouse is 5.265,138 kWh, at D157 powerhouse is 2.462,791 kWh larger than at the time of the cubicle 20kV replacement with
minimal outages method with the loss energy at P56 at 1.518,748 kWh, at the D167 powerhouse at 2.259,307 kWh, and at the D157 powerhouse at 812.753 kWh
