Abstract :
The electricity needs of the community are getting bigger. With the rapid development of electricity users, customers than PT. PLN (PERSERO) is increasing. With the increasing number of customers, the quality of the electricity supply in the distribution channel must be better. If an interruption occurs, it will definitely disrupt the daily activities of the community or industry. Therefore the protection system must be installed in several distribution substations to localize the trip so as not to extinguish the whole feeder. One protection tool is overcurrent relays. The over current relays that are usually used are inverse relays. The over current relay setting value that can be installed at the substation is at the primary setting current 308 A, the TMS is 0.12 and the time is 0.3 seconds. The over current relay setting value that can be installed in the distribution substation is at the primary setting current 308 A, the TMS is 0.045 and the time is 0.1 seconds. The coordination shows that the working time value of the over current relay in the distribution substation is faster than the time value of the over current relay at the substation. This is so that the relay at the distribution substation works before the substation, which can localize the outage area to the feeder.
