Abstract :
An electric power system generally consists of several important elements, namely generation systems, transmission systems, and distribution systems. Therefore transmission and distribution is very influential on the quality of electricity that reaches consumers, the amount of electricity losses faced by PT PLN (Persero) is quite large so it must be fixed because it is an important factor in developing the electricity network in the future. The factor of losses is because the voltage distribution network used is at the low and medium voltage level where the current flowing is also large so that shrinkage is of great value. The amount of loading also has an effect on losses that occur. To find out the effect of loading on losses, information is needed about the value of copper losses, zero load losses, total losses, and the percentage for a week with an interval of 1 hour of measurement. The results showed that in the absence of a large load of zero load losses not dependent on the weight of the load, losses in the transformer experienced a significant increase occurred at 10:00 to 22:00. Based on the curve, losses on the transformer depend on the loading pattern. Seen from the percentage of losses to large loads, high percentages at low loads and low percentages at high loads. Based on the results of calulations shown by tables and curves it can be seen that the magnitude pf the burden affects the lossses that occur, the greater the load, the greater the losses generated.
