Abstract :
Medium voltage feeder is a media for distribute power electric from main station to the costumer. But in the fact, the feeder almost have a disturbance, such as short circuit disturbance. So is needed a protection system which is full fill the qualification such as selectifity, realibility and speed, which all of that depend on the accuration of tool protection setting. In general it used for incoming, outgoing and special customers are Over Current Relay (OCR) and Ground Fault Relay (GFR), that is relay which has function to instruction the PMT for open the circuit, so that disturbed equipment is separated from the network. If the OCR and GFR settings that are in a dedicated service distribution depot and in the out-going feeder are poor, short-circuit interruption may disconnect the incoming feed in the feedstock causing the outage of the entire feeder. Therefore, good security at a dedicated customer distribution depot and a buffer is necessary to obtain the proper setting value as well as good coordination of safety equipment.
