Abstract :
To ensure the supply of electricity to consumers, the performance of power transformer has very important role. Therefore, the system needed a good and reliable protection on power transformer to the fault. The quality of power transformer protection system is strongly influenced by the differential relay coordination as the main seat of power transformer. Differential relay has several requirements that must be met to work as a safety. Firstly, the CT used must have the same ratio so that Ip = Is and the connections and polarity of CT1 and CT2 must be equal. It is necessary to set the differential relay by using the calculation of CT ratio selection, the differential relay settings, and mismatch error. In this final project, that do on the transformer no. 9 at GIS 150/20 kV Pulo Gadung, obtained relay setting 1.5 A, CT1 ratio is 300/5, CT2 ratio is 2000/5 and error mismatch 1.125%.
