Abstract :
The earthing system of distribution network is use as a direct security divice against the equipment and humans in case of short circuit interferences or current leak which is caused by isolation failure as well as voltage exces on distribution installation, groundimg is one way to safe humans from the presence touch tense hazard. According to its function earth system consists of 2 kinds of system (neutral) and security earthing. System grounding (neutral) serves as asafety device from the danger of insulation damage caused by over voltage, while the security of the earth serves as a safety against the tensios touch. The grounding value resistance based on PUIL 2000 should not exceed from 5 ohms,its because if there?s any disruption on the electrical current towards the equipment which is grounded to the ground isn?t hampered. The grounding value resistance can also change, it?s because influence of some factors so that an effort is needed to improve the value of the earthing resistance, and after the repaire effort is done the value of earthning resistance back to normal or according to the standard that it less than 5 ohms
