Abstract :
Transformer is an electromagnetic component that can change high to low voltage or vice versa in the same frequency. The transformer is the heart of the distribution and transmission that is expected to operate maximally (continuous work without interruption). The distribution network is part of the power system closest to the customer or the load compared to the transmission network. One of the main equipment distribution network that is distribution transformers. Distribution Transformer is a very important component in the distribution of electricity from distribution substations to consumers. Distribution transformer is a power tool that serves to lower the high voltage to low voltage, so that the voltage used in accordance with the rating of customer electrical equipment or the load in general. This transformer is certainly expected to work on the desired performance. Therefore, before the transformer can be used on electric power system, it is necessary to do some series of testing on the transformer. Transformer testing is carried out according to SPLN D3.002-1: 2007 (Rev. SPLN 50: 1997 and SPLN 50: 1982) through five kinds of tests, as described in IEC 60076, namely: routine testing, type testing, special testing, testing Handing-over, field testing.
