Abstract :
The GT CCW Cooler Fan is a heat exchanger used to cool CCW air that has been used to cool the Auxiliary Gas Turbine components. CCW itself uses water as a
fluid to cool the component of the Auxiliary Gas Turbine itself and the water conductivity is kept constant. Due to the continuous use of the GT CCW Cooler Fan, maintenance is needed so that these components are not damaged and last a long time. Maintenance carried out on Cooler Fan GT CCW components must be
done in an appropriate manner so that the performance of the Cooler Fan GT CCW must maintain its quality. After the necessary research data is obtained from
primary or secondary data, the data is calculated as thermal using the LMTD (Log Mean Temperature Difference) method, which is the logarithmic average of
the temperature ratio between the fluid to be cooled and the fluid to cool. From the results of calculations before repairs were obtained LMTD values of 2,325 ° C, 2,814 ° C, 2,926 ° C, 2,029 ° C, 2,741 ° C before repairs and obtained 2,245 ° C, 1,529 ° C, 2,231 ° C, 1,529 ° C, 1,581 ° C after repairs. If the LMTD value rises, then the heat dissipated will decrease. Meanwhile, if the LMTD value drops,
the heat to be released will be even greater. After repairs on the GT CCW Cooling Fan there is a decrease in temperature in the Closed Water Cooling so that the air
used to cool the Auxiliary Gas Turbine will also increase.
