Abstract :
This research purpose is to make an application to determine and rechecking the quality of coffee leaves to be used as raw material for making kawa daun. The method used is Canny Edge Detection for processing the image to obtain the information value histogram. And the Euclidean distance to see matches between the reference pattern with the input to obtain a final decision. Applications created based on android using Android Studio. The data used in this research are of five photos of leaves that used as reference data and 15 images of leaves that serve as test data. Based on trial results to specialists PT. Tanah Datar Persada got value - average 4.75, the trial result to users get value average 4.3 and trial result to IT experts get value average 3.5 to scale assessment 1-5 with indexes: 1 = very poor, 2 = adequate, 3 = moderate, 4 = good, 5 = very good. So the application is considered both in its use. The benefits of the research is expected to help the PT.
