Abstract :
One of the main components in Kamojang PLTP is condenser. The condenser in the PLTP is a direct contact type where the cooling water will be sprayed through the nozzle and directly in contact with the turbine steam. Calculated from the results of the calculations that have been produced condenser results strongly affect the efficiency of a geothermal power plant Kamojang of 0.98 or the equivalent of 53.6 MW optimal power. Based on the evaluation of effectivity of condenser unit 2, the best effectiveness value at 53.6 MW is 0.98. While the cheapest in get at 54.1 MW and 54.9 MW with the effectiveness value is 0.95. Vacuum pressure on the condenser greatly affects the work of the condenser. The higher the vacuum pressure level, the lower the condenser efficiency, which is from the evaluation at 53.6 MW with the effectiveness value of 0.98 vacuum pressure which can be 127 mbarakang at 54.1 MW with an effectivity value of 0.95 vacuum pressure gained 134 mbar. Matters that may interfere with the performance of the condenser are the temperature of the air conditioner, the vacuum condenser pressure, the cooling water flow, the non-condensing gas, and the level of the air condenser that must be maintained at the water level of the NWL boundary. Therefore the performance of the cooling tower and the performance of the steam ejector should be observed.
