Abstract :
Heat exchangers or heaters are also called heat exchangers. Tube types heat exchangers and frames are heat exchangers which are included both in the heat transfer process. Although there are limitations of work pressures that fall into the low category compared to other types such as shell and tube types. The process of heat transfer that occurs on the plate is done indirectly (conduction). The flow occurs by using a counter flow flow with a surface area of 339.3 with an overall plate number of 379 pcs. On each plate there is a similar packing with a rubber material that serves as a deterrent for the lunging of both fluids in the working process of the machine. This scientific research is conducted to find out the heat transfer that occurs in Lube Oil Cooler Heat Exchanger Type Plate and Frame System, with working fluid used are two types of air fluid and oil. The hot liquid fluid capacity is 0.066 / s and the cold liquid fluid is 0.094 / s. Based on the heat balance diagram q_the overall = 1770.40 kW and effectiveness (ε) which can be 76.38%
