Abstract :
In suralaya power plant demin water is supplied to the unit to meet unit needs. This demin water is used for the needs of Head Tank, Condensate Storage Tank (CST), water vacuum pump seal enhancer, and as Condensate Extraction Pump (CEP) seal when before start. Currently in units 5-7 the demin water supply is not known for the exact number of streams, known only on condensate make up station water systems that pass through the counter flow meter on LCV 008 and on the Head Tank system. The make up station system works when the hotwell level is low then CST will supply to hotwell via LVC 007 and LCV 008. The demin water flowing through LCV 007 is unknown. In addition to demin water passing through LCV 007 can not be known its use, there is also unidentified demin water is found on the seal enhancer water vacuum pump and for CEP seal at the time before start. Therefore the installation of a counter flow meter in the demin water supply line header before entering the unit becomes a solution to find out the actual total amount of demin water flow supplied to the unit and to identify possible losses.
