Abstract :
Busbar is a main component of a substation functioning as the connection point for the existing bay, so the role of a busbar is as a weight-point for the interconnected networks. In its operation, busbar cannot be far from technical interference. To minimalize the spreading impact caused by a fault, a protective system is needed for the busbar. Busbar protective system can hopefully minimalize the number of faults and to avoid an occurrence of black out on the substation. To improve the reliability of protection system on 150kV side, Angke substation conducts a scheming and an installation of busbar protection using differential relay. Differential relay installed are of low impedance type, to adjust with the condition on Angke Substation. This research utilizes descriptive qualitative approach by calculating short circuit current and relay working current setting. From the calculation, relay working current setting value amounts to 1,2 A on the secondary side and 2400 A on the primary side with bias slope 1 characteristic amounts to 10% and slope 2 amounts to 65%.
