Abstract :
Quality, reliability, and continuity of power distribution by PT PLN is a public demand that is in line with the level of demand for electrical power to be used. In distributing power to the consumer, PT PLN requires a coordinated plan for the distribution process to be safe and economical. As time goes by offset by the increasing need for electric power, the distribution of electric power needs to be balanced with a good protection system because the problem of distribution will also increase. Short circuit interference often occurs in PML05 feeder hence required a protection system to minimize the impact of the occurrence of interference. A good protection system takes into account the safety level of electrical stability, sensitivity to interference, reliable, fast and selective so that the protection system can work in accordance with its function. The protective equipment used in the medium voltage network is OCR, GFR, and recloser. Before the relay is operated it must be done relay setting first. Based on the calculation, OCR settings obtained recloser P5-75 t = 0,89 sec ; recloser P5-158 t = 0,6 sec and recloser R-181 t = 0,3 sec. While GFR settings obtained recloser P5-75 t = 0,9 sec ; recloser P5-158 t = 0,7 sec and recloser R-181 t = 0,3 sec.
