Abstract :
Concrete is one of the building materials that has many roles and applications, both in innovative designs and in infrastructure development techniques. In this research concrete manufacturing uses latex and coir fiber. From this material, research will be carried out aimed at utilizing latex as a substitute for cement and coconut coir fiber as a substitution of fine aggregate in mixing concrete. Concrete specimens are made measuring 15 x 30 cm and planned in accordance with SNI 7656 - 2012, FAS value of 0,61, slump 75-100 mm, the proportion of mixture there are 5 variations, namely normal concrete, latex mixture with variations of 0%, 0,75%, 1,5%, and 2,25% of the amount of cement needed and coconut fiber as a fixed variable, that is 1,25% of the amount of fine aggregate needed. Testing parameters are compressive strength, split tensile strength, slump test, concrete absorption. For the tensile strength and absorption testing is done on the 28th day, while for the concrete compressive strength test is done on the 7th, 14th, 28th day and the results of the test at 28 days. The lowest compressive strength results are found in normal concrete variations of 25,004 MPa with an absorption value of 4,585%. The optimum compressive strength is found in the variation of 2,25% latex and 1,25% coconut coir fiber at 26,332 MPa with an absorption value of 3,014%. The lowest tensile strength results are also found in normal concrete variations of 2,028 MPa. The optimum split tensile strength is found in the variation of 2,25% latex and 1,25% coconut coir fiber at 3,065 MPa.
