Abstract :
Martensitic stainless steel is used for applications in steam turbine. Martensitic stainless steel is used because it has mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. The heat treatment is done to improve the mechanical properties of a material. In this study sample at a temperature quenching 950,1000,1050 and 1100 and 600 for 1 hour tempering , quenching oil , followed by 1050 for 1 hour , then tempered at tempering temperature variations of 300 , 400 , 500 ,550 ,600, 650 and 700 ° C for 1 hour . The results showed that the temperature rise austenisasi and tempering influence on changes in the strength of the impact testing and testing sem.
