Abstract :
8 ABSTRACT The changing of the weather results in a repeated cycle of wetting and drying, so that the soil will change the volume of the soil by changing water levels and decreasing factors-supporting the physical parameters of the soil. In this study, clay was taken on project 6 of the freeway in the A section of North Jakarta, where the land will be treated in the cycle of wetting and will be seen as a result of the use of cement and waste by crumb rubber on the physical character. The goal is to study the effects of season changes (changes in water levels) on the physical characteristics of soil with water levels, soil density, and soil consistency limits (atterberg limits) that have been mixed with other ingredients in the waste of crumb rubber and of Portland PCC cement. At this test we use 10% cement levels and crumb rubber waste by 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% of the land's dry weight. This wetting cycle of presentation of water is determined by the amount of water between the initial water levels (wi) and the percentage of water levels multiplied by the proportion of saturated water content to the initial water (wsats) by 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The result is that the effect of the wetting process increases the physical parameters because of the handling, however, decreases when it begins to be mixed with Portland PCC cement and waste powder tyres.
