Abstract :
Flood is a common problem that occurs in parts of Indonesia, especially areas with high population density. This problem can cause huge losses both material and non material. Dry dam is a dam that was built for flood control purposes. In dry dams there are outlet channels used for river water diversion and as a flood control channel. One of dry dam that is being built in Indonesia is the Ciawi dam, in implementing the Ciawi dam outlet, complete data is needed and as needed. To design effective outlet and height of cofferdam, carried out design dimension analysis among diameter design 3,5m, diameter design 4 m, diameter design 4,5 m in this analysis. From the result of analysis and flood routing that has been doing for every dimension, can got effective diameter design 4 m with discharge Q50th accordance with flood flow channel design jakarta. Inflow discharge as much 460,81 m3/s and Q 50th outflow as much 262,801 m3/s that can reduce flood flow until 43%. Height elevation cofferam obtained from result analysis is 34,5 m. because elevasion of cofferdam too high so will be recommended to be part of main dam.
