Abstract :
In the implementation of construction projects, many require materials, if using of materials is not managed properly it will cause waste that can affect construction costs. Planning is needed for materials so that the implementation becomes effective and efficient. One way to optimize the occurrence of iron reinforcement material waste is to make calculations of iron needs with the help of linear programming to facilitate reinforcement pieces that will be needed in the field in accordance with the objectives of this research, namely to analyze reinforcement requirements, the amount of iron material waste and how much cost savings obtained with the help of linear programming.
From the results of optimization, it is obtained savings of reinforcement needs in the columns for each type, namely 7 bars for reinforcement D22, 204 bars for reinforcement D19, 1 bar for reinforcement D13 and 109 bars for reinforcement D10. The amount of cost savings obtained is Rp. 59.844.485,-.
