Abstract :
TPA Talang Gulo was built in 1997 with open dumping method, has almost overloaded, so Jambi City Government plans to expand Talang Gulo area with a sanitary landfill method that equipped with sorting and composting plan. The lifetime of TPA Sanitary Landfill Talang Gulo landfill cell in Jambi City by comparison of the amount of reduction according to Tchobanoglous, Theisen and Vigil (1993) and the reduction according to the plan of the Jambi City Government. In addition to accommodating landfill cell waste, it also accommodates leachate, so the calculations of leachate prediction is performed. Based on the analysis to obtain the lifetime of Sanitary Landfill Talang Gulo in Jambi City, concluded that the storage of landfill cell is 440,012.5 m3. The difference lifetime between the two reduction
methods is 82 years. The prediction of leachate was carried out using the Thorntwaite method. Was obtained daily percolation value is 0,55 mm/day and daily leachate discharge was 28,76 m3/day.
