Abstract :
The movement of the PVD stake on land improvement at sta 8+224 ? sta 8+413.516 make a lot of equpment downtime thus affecting productivity. The goal of the study is to find the movement method of the tools that can reduce time and cost, thus improving productivity. Methods selection is very important in the implementation of a construction project, because the proper implementation of the methods can optimizing potential of the tools espesially for the heavy equipment. Tools can work optimally are the main targets for the contractors so the project can be completed as planned. In this study specifically discuss about how changing the implementation method be able to decrease equipment downtime of PVD stake, so it saves time and cost. The result of this study are equipment downtime in field study is 41,74 hours and equipment downtime based on the plan is 14,17 hours. The difference of equipment downtime reached 27,57 hours, approximately 66,05 %. From the difference of equipment downtime operational cost that could be saved is Rp 35.814.920,-.
