Abstract :
The development of industry and urbanisation in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi grew rapidly. According to the growth analysis of JABOTABEK population will have more than 50 million inhabitants in 2025. Urbanisation and industrialization in this area have encouraged the rapidly increasing demand for urban and industrial water. The Indonesian government establishes the master plan for the water supply of the city and the industry, one of them by building a Karian dam. The Karian Dam is one of the dams built into a multi-purpose dam that has many functions. Prior to the implementation of dam construction began, the work should be done by the Circumchement tunnel. The Circumcreting tunnel is functioned to divert the flowing stream from the dam. In this thesis discussed the planning of hydrology and hydraulics in the river-circumscribed tunnel on the Karian dam with the results of the 25-th 666.06 M ³/sec Qplan, Q50 of 920.04 m³/sec As for the hydraulics analysis obtained for the flow type is generated super critical flow type in the 3rd hour Saampai to 11 in the year of the plan Q25 while the type of flow is super critical in the years Q50 in the Hour 3 to 13.
