Abstract :
One of the busiest major airports in Indonesia is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. In order to support the creation of transportation to the airport, it is necessary to analyze the characteristics of the expression train that affect the selection of rail-based transportation modes by using methods that can describe the characteristics / preferences of users of modes so that it can be identified criteria that can attract users of non-rail transportation modes to switch use the airport train. Mode selection is one of the models used in transportation planning, this is due to the key role of public transportation in efforts to improve the improvement and improvement of services from transportation modes. The preference study of respondents was conducted through a primary survey (survey questionnaire and interview) on the occupancy of the express train of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport with a sample of 100 respondents. Mode selection analysis using weighting analysis with the help of Microsoft Excel 2007. The results of the study show that the factors that influence the most dominant mode selection are seen in Variable (X5), namely by using airport train congestion can be avoided with a weight of 92.8%, variable (X10), namely airport train facilities are superior to non-rail transportation modes. by 90.6%, and variable (X3), namely the time taken by airport trains is faster. of 88.2%.
