Abstract :
PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk is an integrated steel industry that develops and qualified first in Indonesia. Globally, the process can be divided into five stages are: The process of production of sponge iron (Iron Melting), process of production of steel (Steel Melting) which is divided into two parts: - Production of steel billet (Billet Steel), - Production of steel slab (Slab Steel). Hot rolling sheet steel (Hot Strip Mill), Production process Steel Wire Rod (Wire Rod Mill / WRM), process of cold rolling sheet steel (Cold Rolling Mill). Steel Sheet Hot or Hot Strip Mill (HSM) is a factory that produces the form of thin sheet steel coil, plate, and sheet. Sheet steel rolling mill Cold or Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) is a plant that produces a thin sheet steel, with the tensile and compressive yield in the form of coils or coil. In both steel these results will be compared microstructure of steel that has been in the heat treatment and are not heat treated. To do this, the authors tested the results of HSM steel material and steel CRM results, with metallographic examination, tensile and hardness tests (Rockwell method). which is expected from the results of these tests can be done comparison.
