Abstract :
Boiler is one of the important aspects in the system of a steam power plant based on thermal generation. The heat of the combustion results flowed to the working fluid, that?s water that converted into steam phase with specific pressure and temperature, so can produced the energy. In the combustion process that occurs in the boiler, chemical energy is transformed into thermal energy to be transferred to the working fluid so that resulting kinetic energy to spin the turbines and generated electricity. One of the efforts to get optimal performance on the power plant system, need to analyze and calculating to the fuel related combustion process. CFB?s Boiler (Circulating Fluidized Bed) of PT. Dian Swastatika Sentosa 1st Karawang Unit Steam Power Plant is using coal as the main fuel in the actual process. Coal is used, obtained from 3 different suppliers. Therefore, in this thesis are discussed regarding the comparison of calculation of losses on each coal that used from 3 different samples (supplier). Having regard to the aspects of loss of exhaust gas from each sample (supplier), 1st sample has the smallest exhaust gas loss. From these calculations, the boiler efficiency values obtained for each sample are 89.10% (1st supplier), 87.93% (2nd Supplier), and the 88.77% (3th Supplier).
