Abstract :
This Steam Power Plant is a power plant closed system that apply their business processes Rankine cycle of the steam boiler system ( boiler ), turbine, condenser systems , the initial heating systems and boiler Feed pump . Asam ? Asam steam power plant - located in the village of Asam - Asam , District Jorong , Tanah Laut regency of East Kalimantan coal fuel use . Asam ? Asam SPP having capacitation of 4 x 65 MW . Asam ? Asam Unit 1 has a heat rate value during commissioning was 9463 KJ / KWH , with a tipical thermal efficiency of 38.04 % . From this paper the authors analyze the possibility of increasing the efficiency of power plants by adding water heater before entering the boiler ( Feed Water Heater ) . In this study the authors will design the addition of 1 HP Heater and 1 LP Heater on plant Asam - Asam so expect efficiency can be increased .
