Abstract :
Potential Transformer is one of the components in the substation that serves to transform from high voltage to low voltage, but also serves as a reading of voltage metering or protection. As where its function is very important, therefore we need to take care of each component of the Potential
Transformer, which is one of its insulation resistors by testing. Insulation resistance itself functions as preventing the movement of electric current from one component of another component or from components to land and other objects. Insulation resistance also functions as a potential transformer
resistance to overcurrent, therefore to find out the value of insulation resistance does not decrease, it is necessary to hold an Isolation Resistance test which is usually done every 2 years. Insulation resistance above the standard indicates the function of the component is good. Good resistance value according to the standard SPLN used at PLN is> 1MOhm / 1Kv. The
results of the insulation resistance test that have been carried out get results>
1MOhm / 1Kv and still meet the SPLN standard value where the insulation
resistance value is still good so there is no need to re-test or change tools.
