Abstract :
Protection is a form of protection for existing electrical equipment in order to avoid damage to the equipment and also so that the power distribution stability is maintained. One of the devices for the transformer is differential relay. Differential relays are used as main protection and cannot be used as backup protection. This relay compares the incoming and outgoing currents. Differential relay is also used as a main safety transformer that works without coordination with other relays. Power transformer in the transmission system is a major component, and therefore must be protected from disturbances that cause reduced reliability. This study aims to analyze the coordination of differential relays on the 60 MVA transformer of the 150/20 kV substation. The research was conducted at the Old Tangerang Substation and looked for journal references related to differential relay settings. The components calculated are nominal current value, differential current, current setting and error mismatch obtained from the calculation results. The adjustment current obtained from the calculation result is 0.1 A and it is expected that by adjusting the relay the protection system can work optimally
