Abstract :
Selayar is an island separated from the mainland of South Sulawesi and is an area under the auspices of the administrative region of the Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Currently, the electricity system on Selayar Island is fully serviced by a PLTD with a total capacity of 13 MW. PLTS is a renewable energy that can be implemented on Selayar Island as a power plant to supply electrical energy, with the potential of solar energy on average per day 6.00 kWh / m2 / day. In planning this PLTS construction project using the Off-Grid AC Coupling configuration, this configuration aims to supply electrical energy for 24 hours by maintaining battery efficiency so that it does not get damaged quickly during operation of the power plant. The total capacity of the Selayar Island Central PLTS is 10 MWp can produce 18,615,000 kWh of energy per year with an autonomous capacity of 20 MWh days for 4 working days. In this plan, it has been calculated and designed using the Helioscope software, from the simulation results, the tilt angle of the solar module is obtained 100, the azimuth 80 angle and the power loss table in the Centralized PLTS system. To control the power flow analysis with the Power System Analysis software, the voltage at 8.3% is obtained. Financial Feasibility obtained by PLTS energy prices Rp. 1,940 / kWh was cheaper than PLTD energy prices Rp. 5,058 / kWh.
