Abstract :
Maintenance is an activity required to maintain or maintain facilities so that these facilities are in good condition so that they can work properly. Maintenance of generating equipment is a maintenance work activity carried out on the equipment / installation with the aim that the equipment / installation can be operated optimally, reliably, efficiently and safely and can reach the service life as planned. Fan is a very important equipment in a steam power plant. Serves as a primary air producer which will be used as a coal carrier to the combustion chamber and as combustion air in the combustion chamber. Therefore the fan is a very important tool so that the vibration must be considered by balancing so that no damage occurs. Balancing itself is an adjustment or an effort to maintain balance at the top-bottom or left-right point of the fan by adding a tin or plate on the part that is lacking. Over time, fan performance will decrease if maintenance is not done. Therefore, a vibration examination is needed to prevent fatal damage. At this time, SAF indicated that Unbalance with the highest vibration value reached 5.05 mm / s so balancing was immediately carried out.
