Abstract :
Reducing distribution losses will reduce the amount of electricity that needs to be produced by PT PLN (Persero) so that it will reduce production costs. This study aims to reduce losses by optimizing distribution transformer loads. Given the large number of distribution transformers, the reduction in losses in distribution transformers will have a significant reduction in losses. The study was conducted at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Cengkareng Sahara feeder distribution transformer. The step taken is to collect load data and transformer specifications and then perform efficiency calculations based on IEC 60076-20. From the calculation results, identification of transformers operating at low efficiency, namely TA127, TA75K, and MK266. Then the optimization of loading for the transformers of the Sahara feeder is carried out. Optimization can reduce losses by 24.24 kWh per day or 8847.6 kWh per year (7.4%).
