Abstract :
Low voltage network is the distribution system of electrical energy that has a direct contact with consumers. The quality of the distribution system can be said to be good if the voltage at the receiving side is in accordance with PLN standards. But in reality there are still many areas that still have voltage drop on the receiving side which is very detrimental because it can damage equipments. To overcome this voltage drop, the insertion of substation is carried out so that the voltage received by the consumer is in accordance with the SPLN 1 : 1995, namely (+ 5%, -10%). From the calculation of voltage drop during peak load at CPT 2AS substation, the value of voltage drop in Phase R is 12,627%, Phase S is 13,421% and Phase T is 15,368%. This value has exceeded PLN standards. The transformer in CPT2AS substation loading reaches 90.5%, which should be a maximum load of 80%. Efforts to correct the voltage drop at the CPT2AS substation are by installing a power substation. Voltage drop after the repairment with the addition of transformer. Phase R is 3.77%, Phase S is 4.05% and Phase T is 4.31%. The new voltage drop has met the standard and the installed transformer is burdened below 80%.
