Abstract :
Steam power station of Tambak lorok consisting of 3 units steam power plants with capacity 300 mw. Fuel used for the combustion is mfo(Marine Fuel Oil). Having density 937,9 kg/ , viscosity and high heat value fuel 9766 kcal / kg. Combustion occurs in the fuel which is found in boilers or a steam boiler with pressure a design on boiler 157,4 kg/ . In combustion of hot air that came in a burner is 212 °C . Important air to raise a the process of combustion . Air heater is an instrument used for transfers heat from a fluid to other fluid .The rate of flow of displacement heat between flue gas daengan entrance of air is a counter flow. Air heater used in pltu Tambak lorok unit 3 is the type regenerative ljungstorm. Air heater it has a heating surface 4430 and basket elements the heat 725 mm and basket elements with cold 300 mm. Air heater is equipment help boiler when some problems will result in decline efficiency boiler . Calculation performance air heater based on the data before and after overhaul. After the overhaul 12 march 2010 obtainable increasing efficiency boiler direct method of 1,66 % become 85,21 % who was initially 83,55 % and indirect methods of 0,52 % become 90,02 % who was initially 89,50 % , the increase is influenced the absorptiveness displacement air heater increased by 1.2 % to 95,37 °C who was initially 96,53 °C.
