Abstract :
A short-circuited disorder is one type of interference that can damage
components of the electrical power system. A short circuit analysis is required to
determine the value of short circuit currents which flowing on the system. The
current can be used to find the capacity of CB that can be installed to secure the
system. To deal with the addition in Jakarta and surroundings areas has been
carried out the construction of the Gas Insulated Switchgear Extra High Voltage
500 kV Duri Kosambi consisting of two units of Intesrbus Transformers where
each of IBT has a capacity of 500 MVA and consists of the bay 500 kV towards
the Muara Karang Baru. At the Duri Kosambi 150 kV substation there is bay IBT
that has been connected with bay of Muara Karang Baru and effected in the loss
of bay Muara Karang Lama on the lin of Duri Kosambi 150 kV substation,
therefore it is necessary a review of the capacity of the CB on each conductor in
the Duri Kosambi 150 kV substation. In this thesis, will be discussed the
calculation of the largest short cicruit currents (transient) single phase and three
phase using software Power Factory to determine the capacity of circuit breaker
in the bay Daan Mogot Duri Kosambi 150 kV substation. The value of the largest
short circuit current in bay Daan Mogot Duri Kosambi 150 kV substation is 16,674
kA and requires a power breaking capacity of 4332,0322 MVA.
