Abstract :
Interbus Transformer is a transformer that delivers power from the generation side to the load center from one particular voltage to another level in the electric power transmission line. In operating the transformer must have high reliability, so it must be protected from the presence of interference that causes the reliability of the transformer decreases. The protection system serves to protect the electric power equipment from interference that occurs so that equipment is not damaged. Every year the system grows and develops, so it needs to be reconducted to perform a protection rele installed. This study took research location in GITET New Cilegon to the subject of study IBT 2 500/150 kV 500 MVA. From the calculation, the magnitude of short circuit current single phase to ground by 7,865.13 A on the side of the 150 kV and 8,703.22 A on the side 500 kV. For the short-circuit current of three phase of 8,059.45 A on the side of the 150 kV and 12,154.06 A on the side of 500 kV.
